'On the border of the Nightland'
Concept piece from '...........' (graphic novel work in progress).
2017 pencil on paper, 70/40cm (click on image to enlarge)
Now available as a signed, limited edition print from my shop at Etsy.
‘Entering its outermost region, fear takes all and all hope that the Nightland does not take them. On the path ahead, its dark mass rears up hungrily as the group are struck by no ordinary wind. Pilots struggle to keep their beasts in check and magicians nervously eye their whirring sails as all begin to feel the dreaded pull. The sails spin ferociously and crackle with energy before bursting into beacons of light. And as though stung, the dark hand swiftly withdraws. The expedition recovers and readies itself. And as if in anger, the darkness unleashes its monstrosities’.
